Methods you can put into practice
Organise question banks with ChatGPT and Way of Learning
The MCP connector links a ChatGPT conversation to your actual study structure: profiles, subjects, categories and questions. The key is to verify where changes go and review the quality of what is saved.
1. Start with a read-only request
Ask: “List my Way of Learning profiles and subjects. Do not create or change anything.” Confirm the correct account and subject before writing. A repeated subject name does not uniquely identify its destination.
2. Organise by categories rather than proliferating subjects
A practical approach is to keep the official subject, such as Anatomy, and use specific categories for heart, lung or neuroanatomy. This avoids creating a separate artificial subject for every organ. Ask for an organisation plan and approve it before moving or creating questions.
3. Ask for a small, reviewed batch
Request five questions for a specific section and indicate profile, subject, category and level. Verify wording, options and explanations against your notes before saving. You may ask to skip exact duplicates; that feature neither recognises paraphrases nor compares separate categories.
4. Check results and manage permissions
Read the bank again through ChatGPT and verify the question count in Way of Learning. OAuth authorisation is account-scoped and does not automatically provide access to other users. Changes may require write permissions and confirmation. Revoke unused connections in connection management.
